Amentum Warehouse Specialist in Corpus Christi, Texas

The successful Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehouse functions in support of the T44/T54 program.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties, which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.

  • Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents.

  • Route materials to prescribed storage locations.

  • Remove equipment from shipping containers.

  • Store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.

  • Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials.

  • Examine stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.

  • Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.

  • Must operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

  • Responsible for transporting calibrated items to calibration lab.

  • Be familiar with excess/unserviceable material disposal and processes.

  • In put data into computerized system.

  • Handle/Deliver hazardous material.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • High school degree or equivalent training/experience and a valid driver's license.

  • Twelve months job related experience in government or industrial warehouse operations is required.

  • Individuals must also pass and maintain a Background Investigation and access to required information systems.

  • Must have valid state driver’s license

  • Must be able to work all assigned shifts & schedules

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical warehouse environment with no unusual hazards, frequent lifting to 20-60 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. This position may require the ability to pass and maintain a security clearance.
