Seasonal Parks/Golf Irrigation Specialist

Duties: Implements maintenance and irrigation plans for turf and vegetation health, including mowing, weed mitigation, cultivating, renovating, planting, trimming, pruning, picking up and removing snow and trash, and applying herbicides, fungicides, and pesticides safely throughout the park

Assists their supervisor with irrigation management, monitoring, maintaining, programming, repairing, redesigning, and developing the system. Work will involve manually digging up heads, valves, irrigation lines, and exposing lines.

Maintains proper documentation and record keeping. Makes regular reports of work tasks completed to the supervisor.

Requirements: Ability to understand and carry out both oral and written instructions. Knowledge of irrigation system operation and repair. Knowledge of planting and maintenance of turf-related areas.

Other requirements: High school graduate or equivalent. Certification as a Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor is highly desired. One season's experience working on irrigation systems and maintaining parks.

Wage: $15.08-$17.94

Shift: This is a seasonal full-time position 40 hours per week. May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when assigned.

Location: Cortez, CO
