Minimum/Required Qualifications DVM or equivalent. Diplomate status or eligibility for taking the boards of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (Clinical Pathology) or the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathologists Experience in diagnostic clinical pathology, teaching, and research. The ability to effectively communicate with diagnostic laboratory clientele, veterinary, graduate, and undergraduate students, pathology residents, staff, and colleagues. Position Duties 55% Diagnostic Service (40% for tenure-track): Provide diagnostic clinical pathology services to the Oregon Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (OVDL), with an emphasis on cytology and hematology diagnostic work. 30% Teaching (20% for tenure-track): Contribute to the professional, graduate, and undergraduate curricula of the Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine and the University, particularly in teaching pre-clinical Clinical Pathology and General Pathology. 10% Scholarly Activity (35% for tenure-track): Pursue discovery in scholarly activity through collaborative research efforts, present new information at relevant meetings, and publish in peer-reviewed journals, books, and other media. 5% University Service: Share in committee and other service activities of the College and the University.
