Anthem Workers Compensation Network Relations Consultant

Location: Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and in-office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection. This includes remote work and 1-2 days in office per week at our Costa Mesa or Woodland Hills locations.

The Workers Compensation Network Relations Consultant’s main focus is on service delivery and meeting contract and SOW level expectations in all Anthem Workers’ Compensation network states.

How You Will Make an Impact

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Comprehensive review of provider disputes including SBRs and ensuring accurate, timely responses to both clients and providers in order to resolve the dispute.

  • Examine provider submitted bills for compliance with relevant Workers’ Compensation billing and processing guidelines.

  • Review and conduct analysis of claims and use required systems/tools to accurately document determinations.

  • Research, validate and stay abreast of medical coding and billing issues, trends and changes in regulations and industry standards to recommend policy and procedure review or modifications.

  • Collaborate with other internal areas to review trends and recommend process improvements.

  • Communicate decision to the provider and client based on the outcome of the investigation.

  • Monitor and manage provider dispute inventory.

  • Develop, design and implement new or revised methods to improve the operations.

  • Provide assistance regarding education, contract questions and non-routine claim issues.

  • Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of customer service experience including 2 years’ experience as a Network Management Rep; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • MS Office, WGS Pricing System, SPS Provider Data System, EPS Pricing System, AniTa Pricing System, HealthLink PeopleSoft system.

  • Minimum 5 years of workers’ compensation experience including knowledge of CA DWC OMFS and other State Workers Compensation Fee Schedules.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $67,896 to $93,357
