Description

Robert Half has an opening for an Accounts Payable Clerk with our client in Covington, Louisiana. As a part of our team within the Import/Export industry, you will be instrumental in managing accounts payable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring efficient data entry. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the processing of invoices and ensure the accurate coding of invoices

• Conduct account reconciliation tasks to maintain accurate accounts payable records

• Implement check runs and manage purchase orders

• Ensure efficient data entry while maintaining the accuracy of customer credit applications

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions based on account status

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks including invoice processing and other account management duties

• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts

• Maintain the confidentiality and security of all financial and employee files

Requirements

• Must have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Import/Export industry

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in Check Runs and Coding Invoices is essential

• Data Entry skills are required

• Must be adept in Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary

• Experience in handling Purchase Orders is desired

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail

• Ability to work within a team and independently as required

• Must have a problem-solving mindset with the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Must be flexible and adaptable to changes in a fast-paced working environment

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency to achieve goals

• Knowledge of import/export regulations and documentation is a plus
