Job Summary

As an IT Server Manager at Ampirical, you will oversee and manage the server infrastructure to ensure high levels of availability, security, and performance. You will be responsible for leading the server team, managing server operations, and contributing to strategic planning for IT infrastructure growth and improvement. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical skills and a passion for innovation in server management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Server Operations

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.

  • Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.

  • Perform regular updates and patch management to ensure server security and integrity.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve server issues in a timely manner.

  • Develop and maintain documentation of server configurations, processes, and procedures.

  • Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

  • Set team goals and objectives and provide regular feedback and performance reviews.

  • Develop training programs and initiatives to enhance the skills and knowledge of the server team.

Strategic Planning

  • Assess current and future server infrastructure needs and make recommendations for enhancements and upgrades.

  • Plan and execute server infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

  • Collaborate with other IT and business units to align server operations with business objectives.

Security and Compliance

  • Implement and manage server security measures to protect against unauthorized access, breaches, and other vulnerabilities.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.

Other tasks

  • In addition to managing the server infrastructure you will assist the team with various applications such as EDR, Phishing training software, etc.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in server management or a similar role.

  • Strong technical skills in server hardware and software

  • Strong technical skills with Virtualization

  • Strong technical skills with cloud technologies

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
