Aerotek Automation Technician in Covington, Tennessee

Aerotek is hiring Automation Technician (Direct Hire)

Shifts Available: Sunday - Thursday and Monday - Friday 10pm- 6:30am

Pay: $35.50-$42/hr with $2/hr shift differential (pay dependent on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Proficiently use RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, RSLogix 500 & Factory Talk STUDIO ME software platforms.

  • Hook up a laptop to troubleshoot and make edits (no programming or writing programs).

  • Assemble, wire, and configure various Rockwell PLCs, Dual-Channel Safety Circuits and Components, HMIs, and Variable Frequency Drives.

  • Understand Ethernet/IP Embedded Switch Technology.

  • Have working knowledge of NEC, NEMA/IP standards.

  • Work on Plant Conveying Technologies, control valves, electrical distribution, and/or industrial instrumentation for flow, level, pressure, and temperature.

  • Experience with Factory Talk Batch & CIP circuits in a food manufacturing environment.

  • Read and follow electrical and maintenance schematics/blueprints.

  • Work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Make reliability and maintenance decisions to meet operational needs.

  • Answer high-level electrical troubleshooting and repair calls from various departments, focusing on automation and electrical issues on the floor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma or GED

  • No technical degree required, but an Associate/Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems, Instrumentation, or Electronic Technology is acceptable.

  • At least two years of electrical/electronic and/or instrument & control troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment, or a minimum of five years with electrical instrument & controls / PLC troubleshooting, editing, and repair experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Willingness to work both independently and as part of a team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $73840.00 - $91520.00
