Job Description:

Bridge Engineer II – Transportation Infrastructure –Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania

Opportunity:

Parsons is seeking a Bridge Engineer II or Senior Engineer to join our rapidly expanding Bridge group in Cranberry Township, PA. If you want to be part of a dynamic and innovative team working on large projects that change the urban fabric of communities, this opportunity is for you. We are looking for candidates with the ability to work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment that have exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills. We design and build Arch Bridges, Beam Bridges, Cantilever Bridges, Suspension Bridge, Cable-Stayed Bridges, Tied-Arch Bridges, and Truss Bridges.

Responsibilities:

• Work will include design engineering of bridges and structures for road & highway and transit systems in PA , and the East coast region .

• Perform complex structural analysis and prepare design calculations.

• Perform detailed checking of design calculations performed by others.

• Develop structural details and construction plans using Autocad and/or Microstation.

• Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.

• Works closely with Engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design systems.

• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement through innovation, creative thinking and improved results.

Qualifications:

• 5 – 8 years of bridge engineering and design work experience is required

• BS in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis

• MS in Structural Engineering is desirable

• PE license is desirable

• Working knowledge of DOT Bridge Design Manuals are highly desirable.

• Good working knowledge of MS Office, industry standard bridge design and analysis software, and AutoCAD and/or Microstation

• Good leadership and emotional intelligence skills

• Strong organizational and planning skills

Salary Range:

$70,500.00 - $145,800.00
