The Fuel Project Manager (Project Controls Specialist), with a focus on the scheduling discipline, will be responsible for a subset of the project controls activities for the FH&ES project portfolio with varying complexity projects, including LEU+ implementation projects, which span multiple organizations within Westinghouse. The Specialist will be assigned multiple projects simultaneously and will be responsible for leading teams through all phases of the project. The Specialist will serve as a project controls subject matter expert and may have an opportunity to mentor junior members of the project controls team.

May be assigned overall project controls responsibility of a high complexity project in a deputy capacity (with direct guidance of a Program Controls Specialist/Program Manager, or higher).

Must have advanced skills in communication, cross-cultural awareness, and leadership. Interfacing with engineering and technical experts is required.

Your Day to Day: Duties and Responsibilities: Cleary communicate required information in a timely manner: Coordinate required tasks/deadlines. Escalate issues, provide early warning of potential issues or potential opportunities to the appropriate levels of management with a sense of urgency. Be a proactive decision maker working closely with the program director, manager and/or the project team/stakeholders. Program initiating and planning processes: Initiate and plan all controls aspects of a project, which include, but are not limited to, establishing project baselines and risk registers. Apply tools and techniques to plan work such that inefficiencies are reduced, and overall project performance is optimized. Use schedule, cost, and/or risk analytics to confirm validity of overall program plan. Analyze needs and plan for unique customer satisfaction and project performance metrics. Project executing, monitoring & controlling processes: Assume overall project/program responsibility of schedule. Support project/program managers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. Oversee schedule adherence. Maintain continuous alignment of program scope with project objectives and make recommendations to modify the program to enhance effectiveness toward the project result or strategic intent. Project closing processes: Oversee closure of projects within the program. Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons learned, and risk avoidance for future work. Develop positive relationships with cross functional/product line team, customer, suppliers: Serve as project controls point of contact for internal and external customers in support of the successful program execution through completion. Align stakeholder (e.g., team, customer, suppliers, etc.) expectations to achieve overall acceptance of Project Controls objectives. Recognize the dynamic human aspects of each program stakeholder's expectations and manage accordingly. Effectively communicate program interdependencies and requirements, identify and mitigate risks, and resolve conflicts and issues. Coach, mentor, and guide junior Project Control team members (or Project Managers) and others to promote strong project control practice across Westinghouse. Seek opportunities and implement continuous improvements to enhance project performance: Identify, assess, and implement value-added improvement opportunities which will improve overall project performance. Create and administer lessons learned throughout the program. Have in-depth functional expertise and broad business knowledge.

Who You Are: As a succ ssful candidate, you bring the following to the team: Bachelor's degree. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline. Advanced degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Construction Management or related technical discipline preferred. Fiveyears of project controls experience is required. Ten years, with increased levels of complexity, is preferred. 5 years in technical/engineering lead role and 5 years of project controls experience may be considered as equivalent for the ten years preferred experience. Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and solve high-level problems. Proven ability to analyze information and engage in complex decision making. Project controls experience in a technical industry such as engineering, manufacturing, nuclear or construction.
