The Manager, Health and Welfare Benefitsis the benefits subject matter expert and is responsible for managing and coordinating the planning, implementation and administration of the company's benefit programs that are in support of the company culture and overall strategic business direction. The role will focus on US health and welfare benefits programs and partner with country partners to oversee the development, implementation, and management of health and welfare benefits programs globally to ensures that the company's global health and welfare strategies are aligned with organizational goals, comply with local regulations, and meet the diverse needs of employees. This position requires attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, analytical ability, and a customer service orientation.
Your Day to Day: Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and regulations impacting employer sponsored benefit plans and compensation programs. Evaluates and compares company programs and processes for competitiveness and effectiveness; develops specific recommendations for changes that are aligned with company culture and strategic imperatives. Manages the annual open enrollment process including working with carriers, TPAs and business partners, and developing communication materials and processes, with regards to the administration of the group medical, vision, dental life, long-term and short-term disability, HSA/FSA, and etc. Manages the overall compensation program, responsible for the annual program renewal and change management, forecasting, and budgeting, including helping create the training, communication, process setup related to benefits. Works with brokers and vendors to ensure compliance with all Region, Local, State and Federal regulations and reporting requirements. Manages any other audits necessary to be compliant. Manages, enhances, and streamlines day to day administration duties and benefits process. Oversees LOA administration and processes; ensures in compliance with policy and regulatory requirements. Oversees the accurate maintenance of records and compilation of benefit plan data. Works closely with payroll to ensure benefit and payroll deductions are accurate and resolve any discrepancy issues. Develop and manage budgets for health and welfare programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial sustainability. Analyzes data to provide comprehensive metrics that guide HR strategy to the company and executive leadership to support the progress on benefits initiatives and objectives. Proactively optimize Benefits and HR systems to solve business needs/problems. Partner with third-party vendors and insurance providers to negotiate terms, manage relationships, and oversee service delivery. Serves as a link between management and employees by handling questions on benefits, policies, processes and helping resolve work-related problems. Participate in M&A and redundancy projects to support business change activities Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are: * Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills required. * Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CBP, CEBS) preferred * 10+ years of experience in managing health and welfare benefits, with main focus on program and policy design, and a strong understanding of international benefits regulations preferred. * Proven ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams. * Must have working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and report ng software. * Key competencies: Leadership, Individual Knowledge and Effectiveness, Results Orientation, Customer Orientation, Innovation, Change Management, Communication Skills, Strategic Thinking, Planning and Organization, Team Orientation.
