Omnicell Software Development Engineer in Test III in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania

We are looking for a talented SDET III to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission.

As a SDET III, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the OmniCenter platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new features, improve existing functionalities, and ensure the reliability of our software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within a scrum team to define and refine acceptance criteria and testing requirements for user stories.

  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure alignment with Agile practices.

  • Design and develop automated test frameworks for complex pharmacy automation systems

  • Conduct comprehensive testing of the OmniCenter, its component parts, and the interfaces with other applications and systems.

  • Implement behavior-driven development (BDD) practices to validate system behaviors from both operational and clinical perspectives.

  • Perform manual and system testing to ensure 100% accuracy in medication management workflows.

  • Validate software components that support:

  • Real-time inventory tracking

  • Expiration date management

  • Medication distribution across enterprise systems

Required Qualifications

  • Programming experience in one or more object-oriented languages

  • Experience creating automation tests and leveraging test frameworks interfacing with some of the following:

  • RESTful services

  • Message Queues

  • Relational Databases

  • Web Applications

  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field

  • 6+ years’ experience in a software quality role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA

  • Experience with pharmacy information systems or medication management technologies

  • Familiarity with Omnicell products and solutions

Work Conditions

  • Remote

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.
