General Clerk III - Inside
A.
Daily function and operations of the mailroom as outlined by the most recent Performance Work Statement This position supports and backs up the Project Manager.
B.
Provide quality customer service to customers by addressing questions, complaints, and concerns in a timely manner with a positive and engaging attitude. Rectify any problems immediately or within a reasonable amount of time. Issues and concerns that cannot be resolved immediately will be resolved within forty-eight (48) hours or two (2) business days.
A.
Enforce processes and regulations for all first class, priority, registered, express, certified, insured, classified, magazines, newspapers and internal guard mail.
B.
Maintain a safe and organized office workspace in preparation for inspection periodically for OSHA and Navy compliance.
The Project Manager shall provide assistance to the Safety Office escort and the federal or state OSHA inspector if a complaint is filed.
C.
Ensure vehicles used for mail delivery shall be clean, reliable, and able to provide delivery services in all weather conditions.
Inspect vehicles daily to establish that vehicles operated on base will meet all safety equipment requirements of the Department of Transportation, Indiana State Law, and the regulations of NSA Crane and are maintained in a clean manner and possess all original equipment or original manufactured parts and equipment. Make maintenance records available to the COR upon to request.
D.
Make certain that all work shall be conducted in a safe manner and shall comply with base regulations.
As Fire Warden this includes training all employees know what to do in case of a fire or a fire drill.
E.
Manage and implement quality control program with full support of PBP Management Group, Inc. home office. The program will include methods for identifying and preventing deficiencies and the corrective action to be taken.
F.
Prepare and disseminate monthly and quarterly reports according to guidelines established in Performance Work Statement.
G.
Ability to manage and resolve complex complaints/inquiries within a reasonable amount of time.
H.
Responsible for new hire orientation and training for all contract employees.
I.
Daily communication with home office concerning employee performance issues and other high priority contractual concerns.
J.
Other duties as assigned
Must know General Clerk III - Delivery Driver Position duties.
Physical Demands
Must be able to physically perform all duties related to the position including but not limited to:
a)
Successfully go up and down multiple flights stairs (in some cases carrying packages)
(if assistance is required, notify Project Manager ahead time of to schedule delivery with assistance)
b)
Must be physically able to efficiently perform the duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Duties require arduous exertion involving prolonged bending, carrying, climbing, driving, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking and reaching, and may involve handling heavy containers of mail weighing up to the allowable maximum mailing weight (up to 70lbs without assistance).
