We are seeking a Product Owner to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN. The Product Owner will be part of the Counter small Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-sUAS) Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) web application development team. The position will be responsible for working with stakeholders and the project lead to develop sprint tasking and communicate development needs between the project lead and the development team. This position can be remote.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine the sprint backlog for the web development project

  • Interview stakeholders and project lead to gain insight into product needs and features

  • Convey customer needs to the development team in the form of sprint tickets

  • Work with project lead to define timelines and plan future sprints

  • Maintain sprint metrics and perform sprint planning and review meetings

  • Work within SCRUM principles

  • Provide suggestions for project improvement and highlight developer needs to the project lead

    Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree (Business Management, Project Management, Information Technology, or equivalent) and 2+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters. Direct experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • Project Management experience

  • Product Owner experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, excellent team working experience.

    Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a containerized web application

  • Technical background to better estimate time to completion and technical steps needed for sprint planning

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to perform independent research to determine unknown aspects of project tasking

  • Ability to work with limited initial information

  • (Advanced) Certified Scrum Product Owner certification is strongly desired

    Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
