TEXAS DISPOSAL SYSTEMS INC INSTRUMENTATION and ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN - AUSTIN in Creedmoor, Texas

JOB SUMMARY

Skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation and Electrical (IandE) Technician. This role will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems in our Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facility. This position will ensure optimal operation and safety of our processes, contributing to the efficient production of renewable energy.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  2. Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation systems including sensors, transmitters, and control systems.
  3. Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficient operations.
  4. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  5. Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to support equipment upgrades and process improvements.
  6. Document all maintenance activities, calibrations, and repairs, maintaining accurate records for compliance and reporting.
  7. Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance plans and procedures for electrical and instrumentation systems.
  8. Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with safety protocols and company policies, promoting a safe work environment.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to IandE systems.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Technology, or a related field.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and practices related to electrical systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, on-call, overtime and holidays, as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory, control systems, and instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and instrumentation schematics.

PREFERRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a similar role within an industrial, energy, or RNG environment is preferred.

REQUIRED LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS

  • Class C Drivers License
  • Safe driving record for the last three years
