JOB SUMMARY

TheDriver Helper will assist the Rearload driver to make sure the route is run efficiently, productively, and safely at all times and in compliance with all governmental regulations pertaining to trucking and waste operations. This position will provide courteous, professional service to all customers.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Report to work at designated times in proper company uniform and with required personal protective equipment (PPE).
2. Know and understand driver hand signals.
3. Assist in examining route sheets, identifying new stops and stops not on route.
4. Assist driver with reading notes from Residential Manager and/or Dispatch and discusses daily work as needed.
5. Assist in the collection of the route as sequenced on the route sheet and/or fleet routing software, noting sequencing problems or changes and recording them on the fleet routing software.
6. Ensure the truck is clean and well-maintained before leaving the TDS facility.
7. Report any personal moving violations to your supervisor within 72 hours.
8. Available for shifts scheduled on weekends and/or holidays.
9. Maintain a valid medical card and Commercial Drivers License (CDL) permit.
10. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS

• Valid Class B CDL permit
• Safe driving for the past five years
• A valid Medical Card
