QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalency

EXPERIENCE: Previous maintenance and janitorial experience preferred.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Must be self-motivated, organized, and have excellent time-management skills. Must have good vision, hearing, and hand-eye coordination. Must be able to follow written work instructions. Must be able to multitask. Must have good communication skills and excellent attention to detail. Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to grip, push, and pull with 80lb strength on a regular basis. Must be able to generate 15lbs of pinch strength on occasion. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical including the ability to wear a respiratory mask when required. Must be able to perform elevated work on a regular basis. Must be able to stand on concrete up to 8 hours. Must be able to operate and be certified on a variety of powered industrial trucks and equipment. Must be able to follow all safety rules and wear all required personal protective equipment. Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them, as well as knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners is preferred.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Be able to follow work instructions and procedures

Follow daily/weekly job lists for specific departments

Clean the interior of building including but not limited to floors, walls, windows, office areas, bathrooms, hallways, etc.

Remove debris, empty trash, and recycling bins on a routine basis

Operation of specific vehicles (Case End loader, skid loader, tow motor and other utility Equipment)

Assists other departments by effectively and efficiently keeping the flow of materials and assisting maintenance department as needed.

Reading pH meters, calibrate gauges, and responsible handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste through the direction of the Environmental and Safety department.

Obtain fork truck operator license to move trash hoppers and cardboard hoppers.

Operate sweeper equipment, power washer, and floor care equipment

Move items such as file cabinets, desks, etc. as needed

Stock and maintain supply rooms for departments as needed

Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions
