Adecco is assisting a local client in Cromwell, CT in hiring a CNC Surface Grinding Machinist to work Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM at a pay range between $28.00 and $30.00 per hour. This is a Direct Hire opportunity!

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Grind external or internal cylindrical or tapered surfaces of metal pieces.

• Remove metal using abrasive bonded to form a rotating wheel.

• rough and finish flat, cylindrical, and conical surfaces.

• Read and interpret charts, drawings, and blueprints.

• Determine product specifications including dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground.

• Complete labor tracking by scanning work orders to monitor labor and part quantities.

• Collect and assemble required products.

• Determine and adjust grinding speeds, feed rates, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels.

• Willingness to work overtime.

Qualification:

• High school diploma or GED.

• At least 5 years of metal grinding experience.

• Ability to read and write English.

• Advanced math skills.

• Must be able to physically lift 35 lbs.

Work Schedule:

• 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

• Mandatory overtime can extend work hours up to 10 hours per day, Monday to Friday and includes working every other Saturday as needed.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
