Field Assistant / Inspector

Job Description

We have a 6-week project in Crown Point, Indiana and need two field assistants on a contract basis. You will assist staff with the smoke testing of storm and sanitary sewer lines by opening and closing manholes for the CEI staff member to conduct the smoke testing. This role involves a significant amount of walking and handling of manholes weighing around 40-50 lbs. The project will last approximately 6 weeks, possibly longer. You will work 40 hours per week with potential overtime.

Job Requirements

• Ability to lift 40 lbs. consistently throughout the day

• Ability to walk and be on feet all day

• Recent experience working outdoors in the field

• Commitment to fulfilling the contract assignment
