Service Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Service Technician to join our team at our Cedar Lake, location. As a leading manufacturer of high-pressure water jetting equipment, we are committed to providing world-class service to our clients. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and a willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service, troubleshooting, and training for customers using hydro blast pumps and accessories.

• Read and interpret schematics/blueprints for electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Travel extensively, including weekends, to perform service duties.

• Work overtime and take off-hour calls as needed.

• Maintain excellent customer relations and communication with both internal and external customers.

• Lift up to 70 lbs and stand for an entire shift.

• Perform repairs on equipment returned after rental.

• Participate in a one-year training program, including hands-on service calls.

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge and skills.

• Experience in hydraulics, basic electrical, or pneumatics.

• Ability to read schematics/blueprints for electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Valid Michigan driver’s license and a good driving record.

• Ability to obtain a CDL driver’s license.

• Possession of own hand tools.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT physical including drug screen.

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as an automotive technician or diesel engine technician.

• Experience working on engines and mechanical troubleshooting.

• Comfortable with 50% travel requirements.

• Ability to develop skills in technical service and training customers.

Work Environment

This position is based in a branch office with a team of 4 mechanics and a sales person. The facility is temperature-controlled, ensuring a comfortable working environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00
