The Presales Engineer-Security Expert's focus will be to support the sales organization in all technical matters regarding pre-sales, sales presentations and demos and customer POC's (proof of concepts).

Sales Engineers unite technical knowledge and sales skills and are able to explain, in detail, the technical and functional aspects of a product or service, prepared for any technical questions or issues that may arise.

As our Pre Sales Engineer- Security Expert, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Pre-sales - assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint.

  • Being a trusted technical advisor to prospective customers.

  • Managing key aspects of the sales cycle including requirements gathering, demos, proof of concept, and product specification.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all cyber-security questionnaires, Q&A sessions etc. with prospective and existing customers.

  • Presenting the product and all features to customers at meetings and events.

  • Troubleshooting client problems, answering questions from customers relating to solutions, and delivering technical enablement.

  • Sales calls - be the main technical resource on sales calls and answer / educate the customer or partner on issues ranging from features, specifications and functionality to integration.

  • Conversant with cybersecurity, network architecture (including High Availability options), RTLS products and solutions.

  • Post-sales - be the lead technical contact for identified accounts for technical issues and will work closely with the implementation team and technical support to answer, elevate and resolve customer's technical issues.

  • Regularly interface, provides presales support and assist in training Channel partners.

  • Presenting at webinars, customer and partner meetings

  • Support the partner certification program.

  • Communicating customer requirements to product management teams, particularly pertaining to cyber-security and High Availability best practices in the industry. This includes authoring white-papers/technical notes and holding training sessions.

  • Providing advanced training and support for the sales teams.

    What we will love about your background:

  • Knowledge of the following technologies : Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Stateful Firewalling, NGFW, Firewall policies

  • Strong understanding in the following technologies and protocols : TCP / IP, LDAP, Active Directory, HL7, RTLS technologies (BLE/433GHZ), Server technologies, SQL database layouts and configuration, AWS cloud technologies, REST API.

  • Experience with encryption and authentication technologies

  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills desired

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong communication and writing skills.

  • Previous experience on responding to RFP's is beneficial.

    Your Experience and Education include:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.

  • 8 plus years experience in technical / pre-sales support as a pre-sales or security expert

  • 7 plus years experience in LAN / WAN / Internet services administration

  • Ability to design RTLS solutions, effectively utilize Adobe, Visio, ability to create BOMs (Bill of Materials)
