Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technician with 1-3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for following a routine schedule of preventative maintenance on machinery, reading and following parts and instruction manuals, and demonstrating great problem-solving and decision-making skills. A team attitude and the ability to work well with team members are essential.

Responsibilities

• Follow a routine schedule of preventative maintenance on machinery

• Read and follow parts and instruction manuals

• Safely operate and run any power tool in the shop

• Develop advanced troubleshooting skills for electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls

• Perform basic troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

• Perform fitting and installation of air lines, water piping, and electrical conduit

• Conduct mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance

• Read and interpret schematics

Essential Skills

• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role

• Basic troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls

• Great problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Ability to read and follow parts and instruction manuals

• Team attitude and ability to work with team members

• Operate and run power tools safely

• Mechanical and electrical knowledge

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Vocational trade school or work experience in the maintenance field preferred

• Must be able to work comfortably at heights

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

• Self-starter who works effectively without close supervision

Work Environment

Willingness to work weekends and odd hours as required. Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Frequently lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs, as well as push/pull carts. Hand dexterity and strength are necessary. Overtime is required, including weekends sometimes with little or no advance notice. A flexible schedule is essential, and regular attendance is a must. Shifts are Monday - Friday: 1st shift (5:00 AM - 3:00/3:30 PM) and 2nd shift (4:30 PM - 1:30 AM) with a 10% differential in pay.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Culpeper, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.25 - $25.25
