Join our sales organization – a team that creatively develops cross-platform, client centric solutions across Warner Bros. Discovery’s portfolio of premium Sports, Entertainment and News offerings. We’re seeking a dynamic and motivated Account Executive with expertise in both Linear and Digital platforms, who is also versed in advanced advertising solutions. This role reports directly to the Vice President, WBD Sales.

The Account Executive plays a critical role within WBD’s sales team, responsible for selling across US Networks and News and is expected to navigate monetization strategies within an evolving landscape. In this role, you’ll not only generate revenue through partnerships but also collaborate closely with our Marketing, Planning, and Account Services teams to ensure programs meet and exceed client KPIs. You will be responsible for building and leveraging relationships with key contacts at major agencies and national brands while partnering with the US Nets teams to deliver cross-platform programs across premier networks such as the CNN, Discovery Channel, Food Network, HGTV, TLC, TBS, Adult Swim and more. A proven track record of sales success, coupled with a passion for innovative strategies, will be essential to driving client engagement and revenue growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide account management to a portfolio of clients.

  • Develop, manage, optimize, and support strategic account plans, apply consultative sales strategies and leverage data and product knowledge to create business solutions for clients

  • Guide and consult clients on US Nets and News properties and how to achieve the greatest results based on client objectives

  • Manage and analyze the performance of clients' campaigns to recommend and tailor solutions based on the clients' objectives and KPI's

  • Establish deep relationships with national brands and media/advertising agencies

  • Grow existing portfolio of clients, to drive and upsell US Nets and News revenue

  • Outperform individual and team revenue goals

Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years’ advertising sales experience as a seller required; Linear, digital video, custom content and convergent partnership selling experience preferred

  • Proven track record of negotiating, structuring, and closing media brand partnerships with emphasis on growing revenue

  • An entrepreneurial mindset – creative thinker, results-oriented, passionate, confident, ability to thrive in an unstructured environment

  • Ability to understand media industry, changing technology and convey it in an easy-to-understand manner

  • Strong organizational/project management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills

  • Ability to travel to West Coast territory list assigned

  • This role is required to be in the office 3 days a week

  • Must be eligible to work in the US

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $126,000.00 - $234,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
