Job Description

We are hiring an Account Manager to join the Ad Sales team. As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in the success of our team by strategically building sales plans, accurately processing orders, and optimizing ongoing campaigns in a fast-paced sales environment. You will use your excellent communication skills and solution-oriented critical thinking to interact with clients and podcast hosts to find beneficial alignments. Your attention to detail will ensure that information shared internally and externally is accurate and polished. As part of a leading company in a quickly evolving industry, you will take part in setting new standards and processes for the future of podcasting. This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Additional Notes

  • This job is both pre and post-sale as some competitors has both functions broken out

  • Pre-sale centers on media planning, crafting solid recommendations for ad client and all little functions that come with this – talking to talent in right way, brand vetting, etc.

  • Post sale- delivery reporting, optimization, campaign delivering in full

  • Ensuring they are familiar with concepts of media buying – CPMs, KPIs – should know these acronyms

  • Coming in with knowledge of basic media planning and hit the ground running with pre-sale functions

  • Audio/digital sale would be great – can be taught about podcasting as long as they have broadcast/audio/digital sales exp

  • Media sales knowledge – familiarity with media math/sales terms

  • Cross-functional dept exp is key

  • Full knowledge of what an ad sales team/org looks like

  • Heavily works with campaign management teams as well as sellers on ground getting deals done so cross functional partnership exp is key

  • OMS/CRM skills should come with being in this industry (inputting orders into an order management system)

  • Media exp (buyer from an agency or sales team from a publisher, not necessarily podcasting. TV/radio/film is okay too, some form of media buying is key)

  • If agency exp they would be buying on behalf of an advertiser or if they are at a publisher (i.e. iheart, spotify, siriusXM etc. they would be coming from a sales team).

  • Advertiser agency exp is good too

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Culver City, California and some days remote.

Work Environment

Hybrid Schedule - 3 days in, 2 out but will be 5 days onsite starting in 2025. 40 hours per week, with 5 hours estimated overtime.
