And we believe we’re just getting started! We are looking for a highly-motivated and innovative Senior Editor to helm App Store Special Projects. If you’re an experienced content editor with top-notch storytelling, communication, and collaboration skills, and a passion for mobile technology and culture, you’re an ideal candidate. You should be results-focused, highly efficient, and creative, with the leadership experience to collaborate with multiple internal partners on concurrent projects. Additionally, you should have a proven track record of producing timely, extraordinary content—including text, art, and video—that drives user engagement. We’re looking for someone who can bring both their professional experience and personal passions to our App Store Editorial team.

Description

The Special Projects Editor spearheads the ideation, pitching, planning, and execution of pivotal global initiatives, including WWDC, the App Store Awards, and new product launches, as well as cultural moments like Women’s History Month, Earth Day, and Pride. These are among our most highly visible campaigns — internally and externally— and they are key to driving the App Store’s Editorial goal to deliver a world-class user experience. Editorial innovation is key to the role, as is the ability to set the pace and expectations for high-pressure projects with tight deadlines. The Editor sits at the heart of the worldwide App Store editorial team, working closely with Design, Marketing, Video, and Production partners in multiple countries and timezones. This is an individual contributor role that reports to the App Store Managing Editor and is ideal for someone who has a consistent track record of creativity and cross-functional teamwork, can perform at the highest levels of professionalism and confidentiality, and operates with great skill, passion, urgency, and enthusiasm.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience building and leading editorial plans for large campaigns from ideation to launch.

  • 5+ years experience managing all stages of a daily digital content production cycle.

  • 5+ years of related work experience in digital, UX, or creative production.

  • High-level ability to articulate, present, and collaborate on comprehensive content and programming plans with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

  • Deep experience with content management systems and tools, and internal and external media asset workflows across copy, art, and video.

  • Ability to manage timelines and work effectively with different teams under strict deadlines.

  • Deep passion for the Apple brand, Apple products, and mobile technology.

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $137,100 and $206,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
