Amazon Sr. Program/Project Manager, Wondery in Culver City, California

Description

We are looking for an experienced Program or Project Manager to support the development and go-to-market for original and tentpole Intellectual Property (IP). The ideal candidate is comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment, and contributing to innovative solutions, while demonstrating leadership and meticulousness. They have a proven track record of successfully managing stakeholders across multiple teams on long-term projects.

Leading business critical programs, this person will serve as a key partner in supporting cross-team collaboration (teams include Franchise Development, Content, Marketing, Research, Product, Video) to ensure these initiatives are best-in-class and on-time . He/she/they will report directly to the Head of Program Management and Engineering and provide focused support to Wondery’s Chief Brand Officer, our executive sponsor, and collaborate with a variety of internal teams, other Amazon divisions, podcast creators and hosts, and other partners. This role will help establish Wondery and its podcast IP in the fast-moving and fast-growing podcast space. As such, it is key that the candidate have an entrepreneurial mindset, as well as be comfortable with the uncomfortable and adapting to shifting priorities.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work with key stakeholders in business, content, and executive teams to define strategy and requirements

  • Create processes, mechanisms, and tools that shape the delivery of the program

  • Manage ambiguity and competing priorities while staying focused on both short term and long-term goals

  • Earn trust through regular communication with senior management on status and risks

  • Own the metrics for project success; define, measure and report on these metrics.

  • Be resourceful and find creative solutions to complex organizational challenges

  • Provide ongoing program status reports with clear and regular communications with all stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience providing program update briefs to internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Articulate risks and hot topics clearly through documentation and facilitate quick decision-making to unblock programs

  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million-dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

  • Program management experience in animation or a creative studio environment

  • Ability to influence and drive alignment among a diverse set of stakeholders and teams globally

  • A proven track-record partnering with cross-functional teams and aligning stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
