This is a full-time dayshift position that allows the successful candidate to work directly with the Unit Director to support in unit leadership. This is a great way to prepare yourself for a career in nursing leadership! The Clinician will be required to work occasional weekends and evenings, but no holidays!
The Clinician is a nurse leader who fosters excellence in patient care. As a role model for professional nursing practice, the Clinician plays a crucial role in:
- Employee Evaluations:Completing and delivering evaluations.
- Staff Selection and Hiring:Conducting staff selection.
- Performance Management:Managing daily performance.
- Education and Expertise:Providing education and clinical guidance.
- Clinical Coordination:Coordinating clinical activities.
- Shift Accountability:May provide nursing care when needed.

- Practices participatory leadership.

Qualifications:
::: {field="qualifications"} Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
- Masters degree preferred.
- BS/BSN required. If the BS degree is not in nursing, a Masters or higher degree in Nursing is required. *Note - if you do not currently have a BSN but are open to earning your degree, you may still be considered for this position!
- Demonstrated competence as a Professional Staff Nurse.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to provide care and interact appropriately with patients of different age groups.
- Knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with executives, managers, physicians, and other staff.
- Work effectively in a complex environment, handling multiple priorities and specialized equipment.
- Exemplary clinical judgment and critical thinking skills related to patient care.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Current licensure as a Registered(RN) in the practicing state. National Certification preferred.
- CPR certification required based on AHA standards (including didactic and skills demonstration components) within 30 days of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Additional Notes:
- For facilities in states covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state is acceptable.
- Employees with an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is located h ve 60 days to apply for licensure within that state.
