We work closely with our Engineering counterparts on products like CarPlay, next-gen CarPlay, Digital Car Key and Driving Focus Mode. We partner with broad multi-functional teams inside Apple to solve hard problems to ensure that our customers have a seamless and familiar experience while they are in their cars. We are seeking a motivated System QA Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Description
We're searching for a creative and motivated engineer with background in end-to-end system level testing and creation of automation solutions. As a Car Experience Quality Test and Automation Engineer on our team, you will coordinate the design, implementation, and execution of test plans, working with your peers and cross functional partners in developing and deploying automation solutions to track program metrics, and reporting quality metrics to key partners. Your keen attention to detail, passion for technology, and desire to make a difference, will help drive the success of our products in the market.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science field
2+ years of hands-on experience in software and/or hardware QA testing
Proficiency in scripting (Python or Swift preferred), with practical experience in designing and writing automation for testing purposes
Ability to communicate and document complex issues and bring attention to emerging problems
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Strongly preferred if candidate has in-depth experience with the following fields: wireless technology (Bluetooth Classic/LE, WiFi, UWB), video and audio, and/or automotive infotainment.
Experience in developing test strategies, getting alignment with key partners, and conducting end-to-end validation via manual and automated tests.
Ability to prioritize a full workload while achieving extraordinary quality
You are innovative, flexible, and results oriented with a positive demeanor

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
