We're looking for a highly motivated Product Manager/Senior Product Manager to join the Mac Team as part of the Worldwide Product Marketing broader team and community. As a member of our Worldwide Product Marketing group, you’ll represent customers throughout a product line’s journey from concept through development and launch. You’ll develop and apply insights to help infuse innovative features into our product development process. Together with our team, you’ll work to craft groundbreaking ideas into tangible products that excite the world. At Apple, we combine product management/development and product marketing responsibilities into a single, cross functional Product Management role that collaborates with design, engineering, finance, legal, marketing communications, public relations, market research, sales and support for maximum impact across the organization. Description

The Product Manager/Senior Product Manager is responsible for product management and marketing of a product within the Mac hardware team. You will work with key cross-functional partners from Engineering to Operations and Design to represent our customers’ needs and influence and impact new product definition. You will also lead all marketing deliverables for new products in collaboration with the Marketing and PR Teams. Responsibilities: - Defining product features, positioning and key messaging - Working in a global cross-functional team with engineering, industrial and product design, marketing communications, public relations and many others throughout the product lifecycle - Understanding and communicating user needs and perspectives to inspire the broader organization, and help conceptualize new products and features. Distill insights by using data to inform product decisions from competitive analysis, financial data and voice of the customer insights - Marketing the product through evaluating the needs and requirements of Apple’s customers - Working with marketing communications and PR on the development of product launch activities, product demonstrations, press releases, and marketing materials - Demoing use cases through a variety of software applications - Traveling the world as the ambassador for your product leading press briefings and customer visits - Negotiate product trade-offs impacting customers needs and schedule

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in product management, product strategy and/or product marketing roles, including experience in managing consumer electronics products

  • Successful track record of working closely with design and engineering teams during the full product lifecycle, including research, planning, implementation, and launch

  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills with experience in building consensus cross-functionally, driving collaboration by building positive relationships and bringing to bear data and handling high stakes decisions with ease with the ability to cut through ambiguity

  • Proven oral and written communication skills including product storytelling; ability to explain technical concepts thoughtfully to non-technical partners and deliver compelling presentations for a broad audience including customers, media, analysts, and industry experts. Apple Keynote presentation-building skills preferred

  • Proficient analytical abilities and an uncompromising attention to detail

  • Experience as a product spokesperson or speaking with the media

  • BS/BA degree, MS/MA/MBA preferred

  • Willingness to travel

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
