Job Overview:

Tax firm located in Cupertino looking for a Senior Tax Preparer to join our team on a contracted basis for the busy tax season. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for individual and business clients. You will work closely with clients to ensure their tax filings are accurate and timely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex individual and corporate tax returns, including 1040, 1120, 1065, and related forms.

• Review client financial documents to ensure compliance with tax laws and maximize deductions.

• Research tax issues and provide solutions for complex or non-routine tax situations.

• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and address inquiries.

• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and year-end tax projections.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax law changes.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and businesses.

• Advanced knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.

• Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Thomson Reuters, ProSystem FX, etc.).

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.

• CPA, EA, or equivalent certification preferred.

• Excellent client management and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
