Robert Half Accounting Manager in Dallas, Texas

Description We are in search of a Technical Accounting Manager to join our team in the construction industry based in Dallas, Texas. This role is vital to the organization, focusing on documenting standard operating procedures from scratch. This contract employment opportunity requires minimal supervision and strong documentation skills to ensure a consistent look and feel across all areas of accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the accounting department

• Use Microsoft Word to create narrative documents, flowcharts, and screenshots for SOPs

• Document all accounting processes and potentially expand to other areas of the company

• Utilize Deltek Costpoint as the primary Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

• Ensure the uniformity and consistency of documentation across all accounting areas

• Maintain and manage accounting software systems including ADP - Financial Services, BlackLine, Concur, and ERP

• Oversee accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Conduct auditing processes as necessary

• Manage billing functions within the department

• Utilize MS Visio and other documentation software for creating visual aids. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems including ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with BlackLine and Concur systems

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven experience in Auditing

• Expertise in Billing Functions

• Proficiency in MS Visio

• Must have a background in the Construction/Contractor industry

• Demonstrable experience as a Technical Accounting Manager or similar role
