Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Dallas, Texas

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the insurance industry in Dallas, Texas. This role involves processing vendor bills, managing vendor relationships, and supporting the ME close process. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process vendor bills into the AP system.

• Foster and maintain relationships with vendors.

• Investigate and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.

• Secure payment information from vendors in a timely manner.

• Diligently track vendor contracts and details.

• Maintain a comprehensive vendor master file.

• Support the ME close process to ensure smooth operation.

• Utilize accounting software systems to execute accounting functions.

• Manage vendor relations and handle the approval and coding of invoices.

• Conduct regular audits and use tools like Automated Clearing House (ACH), Coupa, and NetSuite for efficient operations. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an Accounts Payable Specialist role or similar within the Insurance industry

• Proficiency in Account Coding and Accounting Functions, with a specific emphasis on Accounts Payable (AP)

• Demonstrated experience with Accounting Software Systems, preferably Coupa and NetSuite

• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles and practices

• Experience in Auditing, with a particular focus on accounts payable and financial transactions

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and related processes

• Ability to efficiently manage Vendor Relationships, including Vendor Relations and Vendor Relationship Management

• Proven track record in Vendor Management, specifically within the Insurance industry

• Strong skills in processing Approved Invoices and ability to accurately Code Invoices

• Experience in Coding Invoices according to company guidelines and industry standards

• Demonstrated ability to manage Vendor Relationships in a detail oriented and efficient manner.
