  • Expert skill level using MS Office suite-MS word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

  • High level of technology literacy to support advanced web-based research and publishing

  • High level of technology skill set to manage MS Access database and use electronic communication tools

  • Must be detail oriented

  • Must have excellent vocabulary skills and a demonstrated ability in English and grammar

  • Must have excellent written communication skills

  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with hospital staff, media, vendors, volunteers and the public

  • Knowledge in Workday is a plus

  • Work experience: Prefer 1-5 experience in public relations, journalism, project coordination or relation field

Department specific competencies:

General administrative duties: Create and edit PowerPoint presentations as requested; Setup conference rooms and coordinate event audio-visual needs; Provide administrative support to CMO and VP including managing meeting requests and schedule on his/her behalf; Schedule meetings and reserve rooms as appropriate; Prepare handout materials and computers and/or projector for presentations as needed; Coordinate airline reservations, hotel accommodations, schedule meetings, seminars and luncheons on as-needed basis; Coordinate expense reimbursement; Receive, screens and priorities incoming telephone calls.; Accurately order department supplies as needed; Maintain department calendar on MPCACO SharePoint site to manage and communicate MPCACO schedule and deadlines; Process invoices and check requests; Accurately record account information in Access database; Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status;

Physician relations and communication duties: Interact directly with physician offices to coordinate projects necessary for the success of the ACO; Work closely with physician office administrators on required patient communications for the ACO; A comfortability working with legal documents and managing additions and terminations; Assist in writing press releases and stories for physician newsletters, Spirit employee newsletter and other publications as assigned using journalist writing techniques and conforming to the Methodist style; monitor generic email account, independently respond as appropriate to questions or seek assistance to resolve questions; Work in coordination with the Public Relations department to update the public site with CMS required changes and physician information updates.; Ability to create and distributed e-newsletters to ACO physicians; Prepare and distribute required communication to Medicare Beneficiaries as requested; Frequently update the internal and external websites with pertinent information for physician offices.
