Kuehne+Nagel Air Logistics Gateway & Procurement Specialist Dallas, Texas
Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Dallas site is looking for a new Gateway & Procurement Specialist to join our Air Logistics team.
Your Role
The Air Import Gateway Agent is responsible for handling inbound air export shipments. This role involves close teamwork to track, trace, and follow up on shipments via email and phone as necessary.
Your Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service and on-going commitment to quality and data integrity
Interact and collaborate closely with the air export departments in the region
Arrange bookings with carriers; optimize cargo consolidations
Ensure timely processing and pickup from the airport, constant communication with the warehouse team and truck dispatch
Track & trace shipments; monitor vendor performance; address and resolve service irregularities
Contribute to maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal customers
Maintain compliance standards at all times, including internal policies and procedures, external government regulations and customer requirements
Report to Area Air Logistics Gateway & Procurement Manager
Schedule: An 8-hour shift between the hours of 6:30am- 6:00pm, flexibility required to work any day of the week including weekends and some holidays
Your Skills and Experiences
Bachelor's degree supply chain management or equivalent experience
2+ years of Air logistics or air cargo experience
2+ years of customer service experience
