  • The Transaction Tax Senior Analyst provides preparation of transaction tax return filings and supports the tax management team in compliance, review, audits and related tax matters. The position will also assist in tax research and preparation of exemption certificates.

  • The role is a part of the Tax team within our Finance group.

What you'll do

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual transaction tax filings, including sales/use, fuel, liquor, and property.

  • Review purchase transactions to ensure accuracy of use tax accruals.

  • Work with business partners and team members to provide relevant data to property tax consultants.

  • Interface with personnel throughout company and external vendors regarding taxability of transactions.

  • Research technical issues, prepare write up and communicate conclusions to management for implementation.

  • Serve as an active and valued business partner in regard to taxability matters and able to work with other business partners to meet tax department objectives.

  • Apply professional-level technical knowledge, skills, experience, and judgment to accomplish results.

  • Exercise sound judgment within broadly defined practices and procedures.

  • Carry out assignments received in the form of objectives and work with supervisor in developing goals and action steps that will meet those objectives.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Quali fications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience/education

  • 2-3 years of transaction tax experience in public accounting firm and/or a Fortune 500 company

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • CPA

  • Master’s degree in Accounting/Taxation or MBA

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Detail-oriented, organized, takes ownership of projects, and is able to deliver on tight deadlines

  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-pace, dynamic environment, and solve problems

  • Knowledge of OneSource Indirect Tax, SAP

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Alteryx
