Job Description:

The Assistant Director of Employer Relations will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing employers to create opportunities for UTD - School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics ( NSM ) students and alumni.

The Assistant Director will manage a variety of employer relations activities, including career fairs, info sessions, networking events, and job postings. The Assistant Director will report to the Director of the NSM Career Success Center.

Minimum Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in related field.

-Three plus years relevant professional experience.

-Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience connecting candidates with employers

  • Industry, human resources, talent/training development experience

  • Understanding of emerging innovations and trends in higher education, STEM fields, employment, and recruitment

  • Working knowledge of employment recruiting functions from the university or employer perspective
