FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY – NORTH DALLAS, TEXAS

That means you won’t be spending your time generating new leads or searching for new business, but rather focusing your time on managing your clients’ cases and providing expert strategies for them. You will act as first point of contact with retained clients as you proactively and efficiently manage your cases from beginning to end. This firm is looking for you if you have at least 5 years’ experience as a Family Law Attorney in Texas. Here is a sample of your responsibilities:

Draft a variety of legal documents to include: Petitions, Motions, Notice & Request for Hearings, Summons, Final Decrees, Correspondence and other communications

Review and categorize Assets & Liabilities worksheets for equitable property distribution

Act as first point of contact with retained clients

Manage your cases from beginning to end

Ensure clients are up to date on the status of their cases and feel informed about their options

Review pleadings and other legal documents

Meet with mentoring attorneys to regularly share information and define strategy

Sit first chair on family law hearings and trials

Attend Hearings, Mediation, and Trials

Requirements

Must be licensed in Texas to practice law

Firm is looking for a Family Law Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience who can hit the deck running without falling down

You will be mentored to become the expert you have wanted to be with your own Family Law cases

Must enjoy client interaction

You should be adept at preparing legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, and child support/child custody matters

Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody and domestic violence is also a must

Solid understanding of the Texas Family Code and the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with superior attention to detail

Ability to learn and utilize new software, technology and techniques as needed to meet the changing demands of the legal marketplace
