Work hours: Full Time – 40 hours; Monday – Friday; Day Shift

Here’s What You Need

Education

· Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy Required or

· Other Pharm.D Degree from U.S. - accredited College of Pharmacy Req

Experience

· 1 Year residency experience Required, and 3 Years focused hospital pharmacist experience Required -or-

· 2 Years residency experience including one in a specialized area Required – or -

· 5 Years focused hospital pharmacist experience Required and Demonstrated leadership experience, training and development and contributions to the profession Required

· PGY2 in infectious disease or Board Certified with at least 3 years’ experience in Infectious disease strongly preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

· State of Texas Pharmacist License Upon Hire Required

· Other Board Certified if hired after July 17, 2022, 12 Months Req

Skills

· Must have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively present information to hospital leaders, physicians, peers, support staff, and other healthcare professionals in all settings (directly with individuals, small groups, and large groups)

· Must be able to evaluate clinical trials, advise on the pharmaceutical care of patients and serve as a clinical resource for the pharmacy department

· Must be computer proficient and have excellent writing skills

What You Will Do

Team Leadership

· Guide the collective effort towards constant improvement and goal achievement by:

· Developing a strategic plan for the relevant clinical areas of responsibility and vetting with senior leadership

· Developing and meeting team KPIs in support of department, hospital and Texas Health KPIs using SMART goals

· Contributing to individual pharmacist performance evaluations and develop plans for ongoing professional development

· Drive continued professional development and department wide education by:

· in applicable specialty area

· Other duties as assigned.
