WSP USA Earth and Environment US Water Sector Lead in Dallas, Texas

This Opportunity

WSP USA is seeking an E&E US Water Sector Lead that may operate out of any mutually agreed office in the USA.

The E&E US Water Sector Lead will direct the development and implementation of WSP’s E&E U.S. water growth strategy in the areas of water resources, flood control planning, stormwater management, watershed master planning, emerging contaminants, climate change, resiliency, and FEMA risk mapping. Key activities include leading and developing a team of national Key Account leaders, building alliances with partners and peers, amplifying the company’s brand in the marketplace, participating in strategic sales, and recruiting market-best talent. The position promotes WSP’s “One Water” initiative and will collaborate significantly with US operational leadership to implement regional strategies and initiatives, with an emphasis on client planning, industry knowledge sharing, and support for market development and sales.

The position will report directly to E&E’s US Development Director and is expected to work with leaders across the firm’s business lines for organic growth of the entire US business. The position will model the company’s guiding principles around four pillars of success: Clients, Expertise, People & Culture and Operational Excellence.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant technical field (Masters preferred) and/or business management

  • 15+ years’ experience in A/E/C industry, with national experience in the water market, including but not limited to water resources, surface water, groundwater, sustainability, and flood resiliency

  • Visible industry leader nationally in the water marketplace with existing client and partner relationships and ability to develop new ones

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement national and regional strategies that result in strategic investment and lead to organic growth

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to build pipeline of project opportunities, lead client engagement planning, and lead pursuit teams to successful sales

  • Driven, yet empathetic leader, with experience working with diverse and independent teams dispersed across the US

  • Ability to successfully navigate multi-dimensional organizations to bring new resources, innovations, ideas, and best practices to clients

  • Demonstrated experience of leadership, personal accountability, and persistence

  • Strong business acumen with an aptitude for improving processes and experience with change management

  • Commitment to internal and external client service and broad knowledge of and experience with technical and project delivery

  • Strong budget management / enterprise business aptitude

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $160,100 - $322,300

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.

Expected Salary (Colorado only): $160,100 - $302,500

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
