We are centrally located in Dallas at Spring Valley and Dallas North Tollway.

We're looking for a financial services associatewho wantsstability, growth opportunity, and an excellent compensation and benefits packageand has an outgoing personality that brings enthusiasm and professionalism with a high level of ownership and accountability. The position is designed to conduct teller transactions during high traffic hours to ensure an exceptional client service experience and focus on account opening and servicing during non-peak hours. The expectation is to provide unparalleled client service in welcoming clients and guests, opening and servicing accounts, cross selling a variety of bank services, solving client concerns, as well as conducting teller transactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively sell and cross-sell bank products and services to clients, prospects, officers, directors, and team members.
  • Call and set appointments with existing clients and prospective clients.
  • Build exceptional rapport with our clients by providing excellence in service. Help clients identify their financial needs through in-person efforts, cold calls, email, and referrals.
  • Handle opening and closing a variety of accounts, such as checking, savings, certificates of deposit, individual retirement accounts, money market accounts, and safe deposit box accounts, and review entity documents.
  • Handle cash transactions and make appropriate decisions regarding negotiable instrument transactions, including verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification and ensure validity, and identify counterfeit currency.
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, gift cards, cashier's checks, personal money orders, and various payments.
  • Balance ATMs and all cash on hand, drawer activities and totals on a daily basis. Ensure all cash and coin is secured in accordance with bank policy when not in use.
  • Practice and foster safe and sound bank procedures, including adherence to applicable laws and regulations, internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • 1 - 3 years teller experience required and new accounts experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Understands and effectively applies selling techniques.
  • Strong and assertive communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent customer service skills; must be courteous and professional.
  • Ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions.
  • Ability to perform a high volume of repetitious work without losing accuracy.
  • Knowledge of banking terminology, products, and services.
  • Must be team-oriented.

F/T HOURS: Monday - Friday; F/T; 40 hours per week; Onsite; Hours 7am - 5:15pm

The job operates in a generally comfortable and professional office environment, largely sedentary work, with moderate noise and some moving about the department. This role performs a high volume of repetitious tasks with regular interruption and high deadline pressure. Constant exposure to the public and possible exposure to robbery/hostage situations. Routinely usesstandard office equipment such as telephones, computers, mouse, photocopiers, filing cabinets, scanner, keyboard, ten-key and fax machine.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear, and sit. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 15-pound cash drawer and 50-pound coin b g. This role requires viewing a computer screen and frequent repetitive use of keyboard for approximately 6 hours per day.
