Austin Industries has an outstanding opportunity for an IT Asset Solutions Specialist at our corporate headquarters in Uptown Dallas, Texas. The IT Asset Solutions Specialist is a member of the Asset Solutions team and will be responsible for overseeing jobsite IT operations, help desk services, IT procurement and computer applications. This role will help define a comprehensive strategy to deliver all aspects of IT services to our employee-owners with security being the foundational component of all solutions.

Qualifications:

Procurement:

  • Order hardware, software, and services

  • Assign/Allocate computers for Employee Owners (New Hires, PC Upgrades, PC Giveaways)

  • Monitor, order, and receive items to maintain in-stock levels (power supplies, docks, bags, etc.)

  • Purchase Dell & Curvature equipment for Network stock room

  • Process invoices and Comdata charges

  • Determine appropriate cost allocations and track all purchases and receipts to aid in accounting procedures

  • Package and ship equipment

  • Research new and alternative products

Asset Management :

  • Use reporting tools to track assets and determine inventory

  • Ensure hardware inventory is available to minimize wait times on requests

  • Receive equipment and log in ticketing system

  • Communicate with employees to facilitate successful purchases and renewals

  • Place Dell Service calls on warrantied devices (Depot Repair)

  • Manage and monitor assets for all companies (ABR, ACLP, APS, Jobsites, INDL)

  • Asset Reclamation – includes EO leavers, upgrades and loaner devices.

  • Equipment Disposal

  • Vendor Relations (Onsite and Virtual)

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in area of specialty is highly preferred

  • 5-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area

  • Familiar with a variety of asset management concepts, practices, and procedures

  • Experience with Asset Management, Ticketing Systems, Vendor Management, Cost Controls, Invoicing & Microsoft Intune

  • Proven ability to leverage problem-solving skills to resolve real world technology challenges

  • Need to be value minded, resourceful and make judgement calls, while remaining focused on customer service

  • Time management and prioritizing skills required

  • This role will travel about 10% locally and across the US to job sites or Operation Groups on an as-needed basis. Travel for training or additional certification may be required on occasions.
