Jacobs Junior Facility Planner in Dallas, Texas

The Advance Planning Group (APG) within Jacobs is a premier provider of facility planning/programming and consulting services to a variety of government, institutional, military, and corporate clients. These services include feasibility studies, project development studies, design guidelines, facility master plans, workplace strategies, visioning sessions, portfolio strategies, and real estate advisory services meant to enhance our clients’ business efficiencies. APG includes professionals within three specific service lines - Facility Strategies, Urban Design and Planning, and Visual Media.

The APG team includes facility programmers, architects, interior designers, engineers, business analysts, workplace strategists, planners, landscape architects, graphic designers, and other related disciplines. This Federal Land and Facilities Planning Team Role:

  • Assist with project planning and design deliverables, including graphic production for federal clients.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, landscape architects, engineers, cost estimators, and project managers) for holistic solutions.

  • Develop content and prepare written reports, graphics, and exhibits for presentations.

  • Participate in client meetings and team charrettes.

Typical salary rangefor this position is $67,300 to $117,800 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD, Revit, and/or GIS software.

  • At least 2 years of experience in planning, architectural-engineering (AE) consulting, or related field.

  • Passion for sustainable development with attention to detail and demonstrated ability to understand and analyze complex problems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and other tools for data driven planning and aptitude for interiors programming or site planning.

  • Candidate expected to work in a virtual hybrid environment, with approximately two days per week at the Irvine, San Diego, Dallas, or Cape Canaveral office for team meetings and other collaboration.

  • Candidate will be expected to travel to fulfill this position. Travel is usually a couple of days up to one week at a time, with some instances of two weeks ata time for international destinations.
