About You

You’re a principal-level Practice Architect. You have an exceptional ability to adapt across challenging, high-complexity audiences while driving cohesion with tact and enthusiasm. You have a keen ability to predict and solve for industry-driven adaptations, often encountering problems that are first-of-its-kind and of the highest ambiguity.

You’re a future-oriented innovator, creating programs and solutions that enable many potential futures without knowing exactly what the future holds. You’re an industry thought leader in your craft, sharing industry best practices, and shaping the future of technical consulting and website/product development.

You will ideally be located in the Chicagoland area, but we are open to other U.S. locations.

The Opportunity

As our next Adobe Practice Architect, you will build and direct digital brand experiences across the agency’s largest, most complex accounts. You will serve as the most senior individual contributor in the Technology Team’s Build practice, bringing the deepest expertise in your craft.

You will leverage deep business acumen to better serve the business, introducing new methods of advancing the team’s business acumen and scaling this impact across the broader org. You will evangelize the intersection of customer, client, and technology while helping the team connect this work to the broader organizational vision and mission. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to their personal growth, as well as investing in the growth and development of others.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the implementation, testing, and support of web-based projects.

• Engineer solutions for performance, maintainability, and efficiency, while also creating beautiful end-user experiences.

• Be a primary contributor to the testing process and provide issue fixes as needed.

• Improve solutions to reduce technical debt, optimize applications, and investigate and architect improvements for feature updates.

• Utilize your deep knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts, browser compatibility considerations, and web performance optimization tools.

• Nurture and mentor new members of the Technology Team.

• Successfully lead other developers in developing web solutions.

• Recommend and consult with high-profile clients on projects of varying size/scope.

• Lead in the design, implementation, development, testing, and support of web-based projects.

• Provides solutions that are utilized across the organization and clients.

• Provide solutions ensuring clients are empowered cross Adobe Marketing Cloud applications.

• Lead technical evaluation of new tools and applications to determine its viability of adoption as new technical standards.

Skills & Qualifications

• Development experience in an agency or consultancy (7 or more years)

• Expert in static typed languages (10 or more years)

• Expert in the Adobe Suite of Marketing Cloud Products (7 or more years)

• Expertise with Adobe Experience Manager (10 or more years)

• Expert in Java, OSGi, Sling and Maven (10 or more years)

• Experience with Sightly(HTL), HTML, CSS (SASS) (7 or more years)

• Experience with JavaScript, Typescript, Node.JS, and frameworks (7 or more years)

• Experience with Git (7 or more years)

• Expert in build processes such as Maven, NPM, Webpack, and other tools (7 or more years)

• An understanding of enterprise software development best practices (15 of more years)

• Broad knowledge of capabilities across different browsers and devices

• Previous work with DevOps tooling and management (10 or more years)

• Extensive use of other modern CMS systems (Sitecore, Drupal, Adobe CQ, or similar) (7 or more years)

• Experience in reviewing and handling complex support issues (7 or more years)

• Experience in enterprise architecture used with marketing technologies

• Excellent understanding of best practices across technologies

• Expert in technical writing
