Duties:
Manage the quality assurance department, directing the work of quality technicians and any other personnel, to satisfy the quality requirements for current business, and future improvements
Develop and execute annual quality goals and objectives that align with overall company goal and long term strategic concerns
Setup and/or maintain ISO 9001, 14001, and 18001 certification and maintain adherence to the quality system
Educate and train employees as to their impact in the quality management system including but not limited to: quality matters, protocol and procedures
Actively direct the corrective actions system for customer complaints/warranties/returns, and internal processes
Work with all departments to develop documentation of processes and procedures - Lead the development of quality and improvement plans that will impact the overall cost of products
Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits, finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare organization for audits and certifications - Assist the management team and provide support as necessary
Nurture a philosophy of a quality culture - Follow and comply with all environmental, safety and work rules and regulations
Evaluate, redesign as needed and implement organizational systems
Provide quality based direction to production staff in all facets of operations; such direction will ensure quality and where applicable ensure the safe, efficient and effective operations of the facility
Develop positive relationships and effective lines of communication with suppliers.
Manage the Supplier Quality metrics such as: Non Conformance Tracking (MRB) ,Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) , Corrective Action and Preventive Action
Work closely with the Purchasing Group to establish and maintain a Supplier Quality Scorecard (This is part of a bigger Supplier Scorecard that includes Delivery, Cost, Partnership, Advanced Quality Planning and Quality) CM Quality scorecard o Cost Of Poor Quality
Participate in new product introduction, or product change projects, assuring that all requisite quality
Requirements - General familiarity with ISO 9001
Leadership Skills experience preferred
Experience with Quality Metrics
ISO 18001 experience highly preferred
Strong familiarity with manufacturing
Practical knowledge of ISO 14001
Demonstrated knowledge of quality management
Quality assurance experience
Adeptness in internal audit
Background working with Department SOP's
Command of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA)
5+ years of accounting experience required
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work
Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system
