[[[POSITION PURPOSE [[[A regional business development manager is responsible for achievement of gross margin targets for an assigned portfolio of accounts, customers, market segments, or territory, selling the full Company product range by acquiring new customers, and maintaining and growing existing customer/s and contract/s profitably.   • Acquire new customers and develop new business opportunities.
  • Attend to the preparation of proposal and quote presentation.
  • Close sales.
  • Business planning for area of responsibility.
  • Reporting on all aspects of activity and achievements.

  • Acquire new customers and develop new business opportunities:

``` - Planning, prospecting, generating, and qualifying new business leads; - Building relationships with customer's key decision makers and influencers; - Proactively working with customers to define bid specifications.

``` - Proposals, quotes, presentation and closing sales:

``` - Develop an understanding of customers' needs and requirements and submit proposals and/or make presentations to meet those needs; - Understand and communicate Company products and capabilities and articulate them so as to highlight our strengths and the competitors' weaknesses; - Respond to requests for proposals and tenders in a professional and timely manner; - Negotiate final contract terms in line with Company pricing and commercial terms, conditions and policies.

Develop and execute own activity and time management plan that maximizes face-to-face customer time and sales outcomes;
