Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Response Team

Fast-paced department is looking for top-skilled nurses. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full Time Overnights (4A-4P) for 36 hours per week, weekend and holiday requirements

Here’s What You Need

  • Diploma Nurse or Associate Degree from an accredited Nursing program required

  • BSN preferred

  • One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program

  • One year of Emergency Department or ICU experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred

  • RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient

  • Plans the care of patient

  • Evaluates effectiveness of interventions

  • Incorporates age specific/infection control measures into patient care

  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others needs for information

  • Responds to all code blues outside of the ED/ICUs

  • Debriefing/education post events

  • Response to all in-house stroke activations

  • Response to all difficult airway activations

  • Transport/staying with critical patients allowing bedside staff to care for patients on their respective units

  • Intervenes as appropriate

  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
