WSP USA Senior Consultant, Ethics and Compliance in Dallas, Texas
This Opportunity
WSP is currently seeking a Senior Consultant, Ethics and Compliance to join our team based out of our Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, Chicago, IL, or Atlanta, GA office locations. Other WSP regional office locations in the Midwest will be considered . The Senior Consultant is a member of the dedicated WSP USA Ethics & Compliance team. Depending on the function supported by the Senior Consultant and the specific position description for an individual, the Senior Consultant primarily supports more senior members of the function, particularly depending on the technical or compliance expertise of the professional.
Your Impact
Deliver specialized, functional services to the business from the Ethics & Compliance Department, including within the function’s responsibilities related to internal investigations, third party vetting, training programs, policy and procedure development, controls auditing, risk management, or other tasks within the Ethics & Compliance Department.
Independently assess compliance risk and design and provide mitigation strategies to the business, including in response to potential conflicts of interest or third party risk.
Conduct training for project team members and other staff on ethics and compliance expectations, processes and procedures.Independently and accurately triage concerns reported by WSP employees and determine appropriate response.
Support internal investigations under the direction of an investigation lead.
Professionally and clearly communicate with other business units.
Apply technical expertise as required by the specific position.
Develop and grow technical expertise.
Serve as a reliable subject matter expert on assigned topics.
Managing practice and functional groups within the Ethics & Compliance Department as needed.
Participate in professional organizations.
Oversee delivery of specialized, functional services to the business from the Ethics & Compliance Department.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Other duties as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
5 to 7 years’ experience in Ethics & Compliance, Legal, Audit or related functions
Enhancing credential such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), or Leadership Professional in Ethics & Compliance (LPEC)
Previous experience interpreting laws, regulations, and policies
Previous experience conducting training
Ability to analyze and interpret data
Ability to work as a team member and collaborate with others within the department
Excellent communications and organizational skills
Ability to handle fast-paced environment with time-sensitive workloads
Ability to resist pressure to compromise corporate values even if pressured to do so
Track record of demonstrating integrity, even when inconvenient
Ability to think outside the box, while staying within legal and ethical lines
Preferred Qualifications
Auditing, Accounting, Contracting, Procurement or Investigative credentials or certifications
Legal Degree or Training
Masters’ Degree
