Insight Global Senior Network Engineer in Dallas, Texas

Job Description

One of DFWs leading healthcare clients is looking for a senior network engineer to join their team. This is a small team of 2 so the ideal candidate would be able to wear many hats and be a jack of all trades. This role would be 85%-90% network related and 10%-15% telecom related. Other day to day duties include:

* Administrate and maintain the Scottish Rite for Children Wired and Wireless Network Infrastructure (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless) including associated management tools and security products

* Assist with Administration and Maintenance of the phone system

* Monitor and manage capacity of the Scottish Rite Wired and Wireless Network Infrastructure

* Troubleshoot network connectivity issues across the full spectrum of connectivity (host, transit medium, server)

* Manage IP Address including DHCP, DNS, NAT and related IP Services

* Responsible for network designs and documentation of such network designs

* Responsible for security tools related to network health and performance (IPS, Packet Shapers, Firewalls, Log Management System)

* Responsible for effectively working as a backup or project participant to fellow team members in the areas of Server Management, Security, and Data Center management tasks

Skills and Requirements

-Minimum of 5 years of experience in the installation, administration, and maintenance of Cisco-based infrastructure

-Experience with log management tools (Arcsight, LogRhythm, etc

-Strong experience with network diagnostics in areas such as reachability, slowness, load balancing, shaping traffic

-Strong experience managing IP Services including DHCP, DNS, NAT

-Strong experience with managing and monitoring network performance and establishing network monitoring tools

-Excellent communication skills -Cisco Certification (CCNA, CCNP)
