Job Summary

Join Wolfgang Puck Catering, where culinary excellence meets creativity! We are seeking a dynamic Sous Chef to help lead our kitchen team at a corporate dining account. Summary:

As Sous Chef, you’ll collaborate with the Executive Chef to create extraordinary meals while supervising a talented team of 8 food-service associates. In this role, you’ll take the lead when the Executive Chef is away, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and our culinary standards are met with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook delicious meals using Wolfgang Puck’s signature recipes, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to production standards.

  • Lead a team of food-service associates, handling interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, and performance management.

  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation, following corporate, state, and federal guidelines.

  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures to deliver an exceptional dining experience for 250 associates daily.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace that meets all safety and sanitation regulations.

  • Interact with customers to provide a top-tier service experience, resolving any concerns with a friendly and professional approach.

  • Monitor inventory, deliveries, and supplies, ensuring kitchen operations are always running smoothly and efficiently.

  • Perform other culinary and operational duties as assigned to support the team’s success.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a high-volume culinary environment, preferably in corporate dining, catering, or fine dining.

  • Demonstrated expertise in menu development, food production, and staff supervision.

  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices in line with corporate, state, and federal standards.

  • Excellent organizational and office skills, including experience with inventory management and kitchen administration.

  • Proven ability to lead, train, and develop a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
