Job Description:

As a Special Programs Coordinator for Career Readiness at the University Career Center, you will play a vital role in supporting the Assistant Director of Career Readiness in shaping and implementing career readiness programs and initiatives. You will collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to integrate career readiness into curriculum and university. This position requires a dynamic individual with a passion for career development, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The Special Programs Coordinator for Career Readiness is a part of the Career Development Team and reports directly to the Assistant Director of Career Readiness and works closely with the Associate Director and Career Consultants. It is imperative that this position demonstrates strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. In addition to utilizing excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.

    – 3-5 years experience providing support to programs or projects or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Strong organizational and strategic planning abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with educational institutions, students, and employers.

  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail.

  • Direct Career Services and career advising experience, as well as experience in program development.
