The Sr. Analyst, Treasury Investments supports the day-to-day support of Investment Portfolio and Interest Rate Risk Management (in context of Asset Liability Management, Cash-Management, Capital Planning and Recovery & Resolution). The incumbent provides senior analysis in support of execution and monitoring.

Manages and analyzes investments, derivative exposure, capital and interest rate risk on behalf of the company. Formulates and updates policies and guidelines on the planning and management of the company's monetary resources. Ensures optimization of liquidity, income, and capital exposure via appropriate investment allocation, and demonstration of market risks as they apply to our liquidity portfolio.

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  • Day-to-day execution of trading and monitoring activities (Investments and Derivative).

  • Validate the accuracy of internal reporting of financial and operational data.

  • Perform variance, reconciliation and forecasting analysis of key financial data.

  • Ensure adherence to established standards and risk limits.

  • Contribute to a strong internal control environment by executing and reporting on SOX controls.

  • Support accounting inquiries for timely resolution.

  • Ensures treasury policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed.

  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.

  • Executing trades with respect to our strategic plan.

  • Liaise with external counterparties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Finance, Economics, Business or equivalent field.

  • 3+ Years Experience: Financial planning, analysis, trading operations/support (preference fixed income/derivatives)

  • CFA candidate (I,II,III) preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work well within a team, prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.

  • Ability to convey a sense of urgency and drive.

  • Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills required.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills.

  • Detail oriented with ability to research, organize and analyze financial data.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Familiarity with (fixed income) markets and general curiosity

  • Product knowledge: MBS, CMO, ABS/CLO, IR Swaps, Options

  • Platform knowledge: Bloomberg, Yieldbook, TPG, Murex

  • Advanced in MS Word, MIS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Access (macros & VBA)

Organization: Santander Holdings USA, Inc.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Salary: $72,000 - $107,500/year
